One Of Several Wrecks I Survived In Which The Cars Were Demolished

This accident occurred over 22 years after I quit drinking and doing drugs and was not my fault, but during my drinking and drugging years I demolished every car I owned. To get an idea of how destructive my behavior and thinking, drinking and drugging were in those years you can relax and listen to the audio file of my letter to a teen named Peter, written circa late 1996 to mid 1997, who was in treatment for drug abuse in CA as narrated by Karen Ness on my Testimony CD by clicking on the audio link below or you can read about it on this text web page. Trunk Pushed Into Back SeatOne Of Several Wrecks I Survived In Which The Cars Were Demolished

I was rear ended in the car above on my way to work Saturday morning of Mother's Day weekend in 2006 by a man driving an SUV who fell asleep at the wheel while doing about 50 mph. I was almost at a dead stop having slowed to a crawl for a red light and never saw him coming. His front drivers side hit my rear passenger side with such force that my trunk on that side was actually pushed into the back seat area of the car and my drivers seat broke causing me to be flat on my back in the car with my head extending into the back seat area and my eyes looking straight up at the roof of the car. I sustained a broken left wrist. If you look closely you can see the muffler and tail pipe of my car extending out where the trunk used to be. The paramedics who arrived on the scene told me it was a miracle I was not seriously injured and the first police officer, who arrived before the paramedics, upon seeing me searching in the car for my cell phone, asked me what I was looking for in the car and wanted to know where the driver of the car was laying and how badly had he been hurt.

WELCOME

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Poems2God Ministry pages. As you get deeper into my web pages you will begin to learn how God slowly unfolded, and continues to unfold this ministry, even as I was and have been running from the call. The web pages on this domain are in constant flux and God seems now to have me in intensive care, using my new medical realities to bring me to a place where I was forced to put aside my pride and self reliance and reach out to my church for help, fellowship and counsel and in so doing, bringing some very special people into, and back into my life, including one very special lady and a church full of people who just keep loving me and serving God by helping me, which in turn is showing me just how much God cares for me. I am slowly healing and coming out of my self imposed exile from humanity and the desires and fire I once felt for the things of God are returning as the flames are slowly returning to the roaring inferno that I once had to serve God. Two Testimonies

Below you will find links to two Testimony pages. The first is the original testimony just as it appeared on my web site as this ministry took it's first baby steps back in 1996. The second picks up where the first left off and opens by explaining how God slowly unfolded my poems ministry. There is additional testimony information describing how I was almost killed by a hit and run driver on this web page, Jesus Can Make A Difference, explained in my Letter To Peter.

MY POEMS TO GOD BEGIN BELOW

THIS MINISTRY, AND THE CHRISTIAN POEMS AND LINKS THAT FOLLOW, ARE DEDICATED TO GOD, TO MY MOTHER, WHOM I NEVER UNDERSTOOD AND TO MY DAUGHTER, WHOM I LOVE DEEPLY, BUT THROUGH CIRCUMSTANCES, DUE TO MISTAKES I MADE IN JUDGMENT MANY YEARS AGO, HAD NOT SEEN SINCE SHE WAS TWO UNTIL SHE WAS TWENTY THREE, WHEN GOD TOUCHED HER HEART AND SHE FINALLY CAME TO SEE ME, AND TO MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST WHO HAVE STOOD BY ME OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS AS I HAVE BATTLED THROUGH DEEP DEPRESSION AND NEW PHYSICAL AND MEDICAL REALITIES THAT HAVE TURNED MY WORLD UPSIDE DOWN, BUT HAVE ALSO TURNED MY HEART BACK TO THE TASK OF MOVING THIS MINISTRY FORWARD AGAIN, AND TO ALL MY CHRISTIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD AS THIS MINISTRY SEEMS TO BE SLOWLY GOING WORLDWIDE.

THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU AND MAY GOD BLESS THOSE WHO FIND THESE WEB PAGES.

Update On My Life And Medical Conditions

Since this web site first began to take shape over ten years ago I have been through many trials and much has changed in my life. I have been unable to edit my pages for well over five years while they were hosted on AOL because AOL discontinued the original editing program I had used to create my site and the new one they were using did not work on my pages and I could never find one that allowed me to, or I lacked the needed protocols due to inexperience with web publishing to update my pages, so much of the information on this sites various pages is new and contemporary and all my pages are under reconstruction, please be patient with glitches when you see them and outdated links or information. AOL just shut down all web page hosting so all 12 pages and months of work would have been lost if it had not been for my friend Joel in AL and his new son in law Kevin, who happens to be a web page designer. You will learn more about that and a bit about Kevin and Joel below.

I have been battling severe depression now for over 30 years and never understood why. I now know that somewhere between the ages of 18 and 20 I contracted the Hepatitis C virus but never knew that until about 3 years ago (2005) when I had blood work done to find out why I was tired all the time. Hepatitis C can, and in my case did, wreak havoc on my mentality and cause anxiety, fear and deep depression, all of which  have caused my life to be rather chaotic and upside down. HCV is not transmitted by casual contact such as sneezing, coughing, hugging, or sharing eating utensils and drinking glasses. To Learn more about Hepatitis C please visit:

Hepatitis C - A Guide to Understanding the Hepatitis C Virus

About two years after being diagnosed with Hepatitis C I was also diagnosed as being in the beginning stages of Parkinson's disease, which helped me understand why my left hand had begun to shake. Parkinson's can also begin to affect one's mental state so I have been hit with a double whammy so to speak, not that I believe in whammys mind you. LOL. You will learn much more about my life, current conditions, ministry and people who have touched my life as you search my web pages, especially my testimony page. There is a link to that page below.

Meet A Few Of My Friends

Before you read my poems, please meet some very special people who have touched my life deeply for the Lord in the last few years and in recent months, and who have, and continue to, encourage me to take my ministry into a much more public phase. There are many, many more, far too numerous to mention here. To all of you, I love you very much and could never thank you enough for what you have done for me. To God be the glory, for you have helped this wounded man grow in faith and trust and you all know who you are, as does our Father above. Please read below how God brought Joel and Kevin (pictured below) into my life with perfect timing to save this on line ministry.

God's Gang

God's Gang  Joel, Karen, Marisa and Ross

Joel Ness, pictured on the left in this photo, is a childhood friend I grew up with in York, PA. Joel's choosing of the name God's Gang as the name for the group of people who came together for a project Joel had a vision for is appropriate since both Joel and I, as we grew into our teenage years, became members of street gangs here in York, PA. Joel then went on to join the Army, then left the military to attend Bible College, then joined the Marines and retired after 20 years total in the armed forces to the state of Alabama. Joel fought in he first Iraq war. There is so much to share about what Joel has done to touch my life and encourage me that much of it will have to be saved for my soon to be updated testimony page. To try and keep your introduction to God's Gang brief, as I am also doing for Jay and Elizabeth Roberts, two more people whom have come to be dear friends pictured below, there will be much more of how they have touched my life on my testimony page when fully updated. For now, here are some brief facts.

I had not seen or heard from Joel in over 35 years when he reemerged into my life. Joel had been surfing the web looking for information on my cousin, John Plath, who spent over 20 years on death row in South Carolina before being executed in July of 1998. Because I was saved due to a letter, a Bible signed by 12 death row inmates, (see a picture of this Bible by clicking the link to my testimony page below), and a cassette tape John recorded on death row and sent to me telling me if I did not change I would also end up in prison or dead, I constructed a web page about my two cousins executed in 1998. (Yes, two cousins) Joel found that web page, then he found my testimony page and my poems pages and he contacted me via e-mail and thus came back into my life. All of this happened as I was dealing with new medical realities that have turned my life upside down and as I was struggling with deep depression wondering if there was anything at all left that I could do for God. In less than two weeks God's Gang had come together and produced a CD with the original audio from three of my web pages and 11 of the poems God has allowed me to write put to music on the CD. You will learn much more about Joel, God's Gang and Jay and Elizabeth Roberts on my testimony page and possibly a new page I may add to my site to promote their ministries. I know this is a lot of reading before you get to my poems below, but without these people of God and many others over many years, this site and ministry would not exist. VIEW CD

Kevin and Beth
Meet Kevin and Beth Kemp. Kevin is Joel's new son in law and my web site Guru. Joel wanted me to share my web pages with people, but giving them my AOL web address was tedious since you had to input all of AOL's member's pages info along with the actual address for my homepage, which was way too much for anyone to remember or even want to bother writing down or typing in to a search engine. So Joel got together with his son in law and Joel bought space on a hosting domain where you can now simply type in Poems2God.com and then copied all of my pages over to that site. They did this like 2 months before any of us knew AOL was going to be closing web page hosting. I have been amazed with the fact that God already had a new hosting domain up and ready to go when AOL closed down my web site. If it were not for Joel and Kevin I would have lost 12 web pages and literally several months work done previously years ago on AOL. Since moving to the new hosting site my web domain has grown from the original 12 web pages to well over 20 now and many poems and much background information have been added. Thank you Joel, thank you Kevin, thank you Father! I am taking this as a sign from God that he still has work for me to do while I still reside on this earth. Kevin has been extremely patient and gracious as I have had to relearn web publishing from scratch on the new domain inspiring the following poem.

WEB PAGE SHUFFLE

AOL closed my pages, twelve of them there were
I am trying to save them, my mind is quite a blur
I edit text, add an image, then send it to my site
Then pull it up, on the net, but nothing there is right!

Upside down backwards text, errors do abound
I look on in amazement, as I hop around
Images look like mush, like there has been a tussle
I'm not doing well, with the Web Page Shuffle!

My eyes roll up, in my head, steam comes from my ears
I want to touch the keys, but have a thousand fears
Ftp, http, all driving me insane
I think I have one cell left, working in my brain!

With no where left to turn, my mind in disarray
I finally realize, I just need to pray
For all of this I do, I do for God's great glory
Teach me now my King, to publish all Your story!

The people of Calvary Chapel in York, Pennsylvania have blessed me and touched my life deeply. God brought me to a place where I could no longer stand on my own. I became so sick at one point I was almost unable to move or function. When I finally realized I would die a bitter, lonely old man unless I swallowed my pride and asked for help, Calvary Chapel was ready and waiting and by reaching out to me in the love of God and helping me through a very hard place in my life they helped me realize just how much God loves me, that I am not alone in this world, and as you will learn below, when my neighbors saw Tony, Tim, Harry and the youth (pictured below) buzzing all over my house and the land here they got a close up and personal look at the love of God in action through his people.

Tony Montemurro is the Pastor of Calvary Chapel in York, Pennsylvania and is pictured above in his York City Police Chaplain's Uniform just after he and Associate Pastor Tim LaQuay finished doing lawn work at my house when I became too ill to keep up with everything. He and Tim were running so tight on their schedules that he had to wash up and change at my place and then rush over to the York City Police Department to begin his tour of duty that day as Police Chaplain. I was kind of shocked when Tony got his uniform out of the car and it included a bullet proof vest. It was a tremendous witness to me of the faith Tony places in God. The road to Calvary Chapel opened up to me when I met Jay and Elizabeth Roberts (pictured below) while dining out in late 1999 and you can learn much more about all of that on my TESTIMONY PART TWO-THE MINISTRY BEGINS page.

Harry And Youth From My Church

Harry, Alessandro, Nate, Tyler, Jake, Faith

Pictured above are Harry, an Elder and the Youth Pastor, and five of the members of the youth group at Calvary Chapel in York, Pennsylvania who came to my home, (they also went to at least two other homes that day), when I became too ill to keep up with things, to share God's love with me. They were an awesome witness to me and even more so to my neighbors who knew something was wrong when my yard work began to fall behind. They worked that day both inside and outside my home and even got into the basement. I cannot put into words how deeply they touched my heart that day and how profoundly they showed me the love of God in real time. By the time they left I felt alive, thankful, relieved and human again and most of all, loved! All I can do is say thank you to them with a few tears in my eyes.

Christian Fellowship Messenger MagazineThe Poems2God Ministry was once blessed with the opportunity to bring to the readers of the Christian Fellowship Messenger magazine works of poetry. I had been given space in the magazine to do a Christian Poet's Corner in every issue beginning in January, 2001. In this space in each issue I presented one of my poems along with a brief explanation of how I came to compose the poem. Christian Fellowship Messenger has since been discontinued. Matt Compton, founder and editor of CFM (Christian Fellowship Messenger) quickly became a major force for the Lord in my life as he and the others helped me take my poems to the world. Matt was also  a part of a Southern Gospel Quartet known as John 3:3 Ministry based in Rising Sun, MD and I am currently getting update info on Matt's availability to appear at churches and events for a love offering. Thank you Matt, for trusting in and blessing me.

Jay & ElizabethPlease meet two very special people that God bought into my life in a very positive way. I met Jay and Elizabeth Roberts while dining out in late 1999. They were in this area appearing at a local church with their very powerful message and original music. Since that time they have become very dear friends and even though they live in VA and I in PA, they were the people that most influenced me to return to Church and every time they get any where near my area I make sure I get to see them for fellowship so they can love on me a bit. They were also the people that pried the door open for me to write in Christian Fellowship Messenger. Needless to say, in the short time I have known them (not so short anymore) they have been a powerful force for God in my life. To contact Jay & Elizabeth to have them minister at your church or to order their Tape or CD "The Next Step" you may call them at 1-434-528-4145 or e-mail them at gracex2@verizon.net. They also have a web page under construction at www.jayandelizabeth.com. Jay and Elizabeth are staff evangelists with Hope Aglow Prison Ministries, Inc. and he and his wife have an extensive and fruitful prison ministry. Please visit with and support them at www.jayandelizabeth.com and you can also snail mail them at:

Salt & Light Ministries / POB 410 /  Madison Heights, VA  24572

Dave & CathyAlso, please meet Dave and Cathy Consolloy, former proprietors of The Lighthouse Caffe in Penns Grove, NJ. I met both Dave and Cathy on AOL while they were still getting to know each other as their on-line friendship blossomed into a coast to coast courtship. I actually met Dave in person before Cathy did as I traveled to just outside of Philadelphia to meet Dave and receive ministry from him and share a few of my poems with him. You can believe that I got the tenth degree from Cathy after I returned home from that meeting about Dave. The Coffee House is now closed and many things have changed. I am thankful for the ministry these two very special people brought to me with their love and encouragement as I faced trial after trial over the last few years and this photo and text will remain on my page as a testimony to two beautiful people who deeply touched my heart for God in very human and very real ways. I will forever love you guys.

ABOUT THE POETRY BELOW

The first two poems on this page were written for my daughter. You may skip them and scroll to the third poem, "MERCY" where my Poems to God begin. I have left the poems I wrote for my daughter here in case she ever finds these pages. I want her to know I still love her and am sorry for the mistakes I have made. The poem below. "To A Daughter" was sent to her for her 15th birthday in 1996, but she never replied.

**UPDATE On My Daughter**
To my daughter, if you ever find these pages, know that I love you and miss you deeply!

On April 7th, 1999, after almost 16 years, my daughter called me at my home and told me she wants to meet me and get to know me. To all of you who have prayed for her and for this to happen, I just want you to know that she is saved and loves the Lord. I learned this from her and from her grandmother, whom God has also allowed me to reestablish contact with.

After her first call I sent her a large Teddy Bear and a poem that goes with the bear. The text of that poem is below the poem that I sent her for her 15th birthday.

After her first call she called two more times. The last call went very badly as I could not tell her what she wanted to hear, but had to tell her what she needed to hear. I have gone over our last conversation in my head and now realize I have made one mistake in the things she asked me about. It was an event that occurred many years ago, and I did not remember what actually happened at that time. She was right and I was wrong, I am attempting to clarify that information and to try to pass the truth on to her through the channels! :o) She has decided not to call again, and I understand her decision. I want her to just know this. I love you, always have, always will, and you and your family will remain in my prayers. I am sorry for my mistake the last time you called, I am sending you a letter to explain.
All My Love,
Your Father,
Jay

As you've seen above, my daughter did finally come to see me just after my mother passed from this earth in late 2004. We had a good start, but after she returned to Florida I did not call her as often as I should have because I felt like a failure, both with the way things had turned out for so many years with her and because of my financial standing and I was again fighting depression, which she does not understand. She is again angry with me and once again not communicating with me. Just in case you find these pages (her name), I love and miss you very much!

Again, thank you to all whom have crossed these pages and prayed,
In His Name
Jay

TO A DAUGHTER

There is a man, far away
Who loves you more than words can say
One who thinks of you a lot
And sometimes feels he should be shot!

A man who ran, from too much pain
Who did not know how to remain
And wonders now, what went wrong
Who wants to write a brand new song!

The years have passed, time gone by
So many tears, from my eyes
So many things that I should do
Just know this sweetheart, I love you!

So to this daughter, whom I love
A gift to me, from God above
With many things I'd love to say
I'll just say this, Happy Birthday!

All my love,
Jay

A BEARY SPECIAL MESSAGE

Many years ago, in time now far away
A Teddy Bear with love, had many words to say
This Teddy Bear dear daughter, I could not give to you
But I must tell you this, it's every word is true!

I am the Teddy Bear, from your father with his love
And he has prayed for you, to his Father high above
I am the Teddy Bear, he never got to give
But you must know sweet child, in his heart you have lived!

He sends me now to you, to show you of his care
And if you have a doubt, hug me, it is there
He sends me to you now, with tears of joy and pain
The love he has for you, forever will remain!

He loves you more than life, but this you could not know
He has an awesome love, that he could never show
He sends me to you now, to hold close to your heart
And is so very sorry, for all the years apart!

I LOVE YOU
YOUR FATHER
JAY

MERCY

Standing on the shore, of the Mercy sea
Waves of living water, flowing over me
I fall down to my knees, and lift up Holy Hands
For God is moving mightily, through my desert sands!

By crystal shining water, arid bones are splashed
Pain, remorse and all anger, now are being smashed
The waves will not relent, rushing to the shore
And I am overwhelmed by mercy ten times more!

And now my heart is weeping, primed by mercy sea
There is an awesome power, moving now through me
And from my knees I fall, prone, onto my face
As I look up and realize, My Lord is in this place!

I'm weeping like a baby, as he gently takes my hand
And pulls my now washed body, up from cool sweet sand
And then I understand all that I must do
I must take this mercy, and pass it on to you!

FELLOWSHIP

Jesus is a shining star
To every Christian, near and far
The common bond for one and all
For each of us who hear the call!

Regardless of denomination
Or town or state or even nation
His love is light, and is quite pure
His fellowship, always sure!

So if you're here, and are a Christian
I would surely love to listen
To thoughts within your heart, anew
Of what sweet Jesus did for you!

THE BATTLE

My mind is a raging fire, I'm convicted in my heart
I long to be a Christian Lord, but know not where to start
I hear my Savior knocking, he's standing at the door
And all the earthly worldly things aren't important anymore!

I make the great decision, I fall down on my knees
And ask my Lord to save me, enter my heart I plead
And I know that at that moment, my sin is cast away
I'm now a newborn child, a tender Christian babe!

The news spreads fast, and soon I learn, the enemy has heard
His plan is to attack, before I know the Word
For with the Word I have in me the Holy Spirit's power
He knows he must attack at once, he cannot wait an hour!

He gathers together all his demons and sets his battle plans
He must destroy this new child's faith, it must blow as drifting sands
The planning takes just minutes, they empty all the files
And then his army moves, armed with many trials!

The attack is fast and furious, and for awhile I stumble
But in the end, I am quite sure, it is Satan who will bumble
I'm hit with many problems, they're coming by the score
And as my faith begins to slip, I fall down to the floor!

Satan now is laughing, he jumps around in glee
And then the smile fades from his face, as I struggle to one knee
He stares unto the battlefield, his face is filled with terror
With all the files they had on me, could he have made an error?

I'm beaten, battered, on one knee, as my lips begin to move
Satan is screaming at the top of his lungs, "What's he trying to prove?"
He sends out queries to the demons, "What is that he's saying?"
The answer comes like a shot in the night, "Oh Lucifer, he's praying!"

My strength ebbs back, and as I struggle, I gain the other knee
And when the demons see this, they turn from me and flee
Satan screams, "Stand and fight, he's only just a man!"
The answer comes loud and clear, "A man in the Savior's hand!"

The battle now is over, my faith as strong as steel
And in my heart, I know full well, the Lord Jesus is for real
For as I lay on the ground that day, something gently lifted me
Without that gentle lifting, I'd never have gained my knees!

The moral of this poem, is really very clear
Just call on the name of Jesus, when you're facing fear
For when you call on Jesus, Satan hasn't got a chance
The power that he thinks he has is fictional romance!

In His Precious Name
And for His Glory

I am so blessed to have been given this poem from the Lord. It came to me at a time in my life when I hurt so much I could barely make myself eat or even move. It is my sincere prayer that you will use this faithfully to bless those the enemy would try to slay. Use it wisely, my dearest friend, in the Lord, for it was a gift of the Almighty God to a man so badly beaten I almost did not want to live.

TO MY FATHER

On this earth I've had no father
There was no time, no one to bother
No one to love, no one to care
No one with whom a day to share!

No support, nor any guidance
Only me, and self reliance
What a mess of life I've made
Just as well to see the grave!

Then words I heard, love to share
There is someone whom will care
He gave his son so I could live
What a gift he chose to give!

So on this day, to this Father
To one whom has the time to bother
I lift my hands in praise, it's true
"Hey there Dad, I love you!"

The Vase

I came upon a vase, upon it was my name
The vase, before, had fallen, and would never be the same
In many, many pieces, the vase before had been
Each and every one, a broken wicked sin!

And then a man named Jesus, came upon the vase
And when he saw the pieces, a smile lit up his face
One by one he took them, and made them almost new
And what held them together was not a man made glue

What held them all together, was Jesus and his light
Shining through the cracks, into the darkest night
Within the vase, he placed a piece, the one that was my heart
And said to me, with all his Love, I never shall depart!

Jesus speaking

Be patient my child, for my love is real
I know the pain and heartache you feel
I've felt pain myself, in the garden, you see
So the pain that you feel is not new to me!

My grace is sufficient, you're never alone
Just call on me, I'm always at home
The number to dial is simple you see
Just dial this number, B-I-B-L-E! :)

JESUS GOES TO CHURCH

Jesus came to church, dressed in rags today
No one recognized him, they told him "Go away"
They were oh, so worried, of what the town might wonder
And in anxiety and fear, they pulled their biggest blunder!

"Hide this man in the back, and pray the guests won't see"
"Jesus, Jesus", they called out, "Lord, hear our plea"
"The millionaire from town is here, and now this bum is too"
"Help us, help us, help us Lord, what ever shall we do?"

And as they led sweet Jesus, by the hand, way to the back
I saw a tear fall from his eye, for those now off the track
He came to search the hearts, you see, of those now in the pews
And in his heart he wept aloud, at how they spread "GOOD NEWS"!

No one said a word to Jesus, not one, all day long
They gathered round the millionaire, and helped him learn a song
And as they sang and raised their hands, praising King and Lord
Jesus sat there crying, at how he'd been ignored!

JESUS GOES TO CHURCH II

Jesus came to church, dressed in rags today
It was a year ago, that he had passed this way
A year ago they shunned him, sat him in the back
And sitting there, he'd wept, at Satan's cruel attack!

The millionaire had danced, as he sang a song
But in his broken heart, he knew something was wrong
From the corner of his eye, hidden in the rear
He saw a poor, poor man, letting out a tear!

The millionaire was wounded, and soon made a decision
Within his heart he felt the pull, of a Godly vision
He looked again, to the rear, the poor, poor man had vanished
But in his heart, he now knew, the poor shall not be banished!

As Jesus came into the church, dressed in rags today
No one said within their heart, "You must go away"
By his hand they took him, and led him up the aisle
The millionaire jumped up, glowing with a smile!

I thought that I had lost you, for you have changed my life
Here, please meet my daughter, and this, this is my wife
Do you have a place to sleep, have you food to eat?
Won't you sit here with us, may we wash your feet?

This church now had a vision, reaching one and all
And yes, even the poorest, would surely hear the call
And as they entered service, and praise and worship grew
They looked into each others eyes, and both of them, they knew!

And suddenly the joy and love brought them to their feet
Hand in hand they danced, the vision now complete
And as they turned toward the back, weeping with a smile
They saw the poor, and those whom loved them, dancing in the aisles!

THE PRAYER WARRIORS ANTHEM

The battle drums are sounding, I'm being called to war
Within my hands I have the word, and I will run no more
I see my army marching, thousands on the way
Each and every one, armed with prayers to pray!

The drummers beating harder, the trumpets sounding loud
And overhead is Jesus, falling from a cloud
My body shakes and shudders, at next the sight I see
There are a million angels, marching now with me!

Several thousand warriors, angels shore to shore
The ground is heaving, shaking, as we move to war
The battle charge is sounded, from Jesus' glowing face
And not one demon dares to stand upon this Holy Place!

The cannon shells are falling, prayers now fill the air
And I am moved to tears, by all of those who care
And now the battle dies, there's peace upon my land
As Jesus reaches out, and gently shakes my hand!

UP AND AT EM!!!!

Up and at em, praising God
On this trial, I will trod
Serving Jesus all day long
I will bless with poem's song!

Enemy, long defeated
All his tricks are depleted
And I am standing, full of joy
Whompin on that devil boy!

Elijah

Elijah said unto the Lord, "My Lord, your will be done"
And shortly after that, Elijah turned to run
Then the Lord came to Elijah, as he hid in fear
The Lord looked at him quizzically, "What are you doing here?"

Elijah said, "I'm just a man, I've done all I can do"
The Lord said, "Geeze Elijah, I have some more for you"
Elijah said, "I'll do it Lord, I'll race right to the wire"
And that is how Elijah rode a chariot of fire!

When you fight, think of me, my heart is breaking now
When you fight, can't you please make a peace somehow?
When you fight, please just stop, and think of God above
After all, he gave you me, and I am full of love!!!

Lamb To A Lion

THE LAMB

The Father said unto the Lamb
"A servant you must be"
The Lamb responded, "Yes, I know"
"Some day they will kill me!"

The Father said unto the Lamb
"This pain you'll surely bare"
The Lamb responded, "Yes, I will"
"Because I know you care!"

The Father said unto the Lamb
"You'll never be alone"
The Lamb responded, "Yes, it's true"
"I'll long to be back home!"

The Father said unto the Lamb
"You'll be back soon enough"
The Lamb responded, "Yes, I know"
"To go will sure be tough!"

"So go now Lamb", the Father said
"There is so much to do"
The Lamb responded, "Yes, I will"
"Because I love them too!"

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (NIV)

A WALK THROUGH LIFE

I took a walk through life today
To see what life had to say
The highways, byways, country lanes
Along these roads I see such pain!

And to myself, I wonder why
I cannot float into the sky
For from this pain, I want to run
Then I remember God's own Son!

I feel the pain he felt that day
Rejection, loss, so far away
The ones he'd loved, they turn, they flee
As he goes on to Calvary

Yes, through this life he chose to go
And as this man I come to know
I understand the pain I feel
And know that his was much more real!

Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve,
and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (NIV)

The Touch

Touch the one, with wounded soul
With no vision, nor a goal
Touch the one, with broken heart
In that life, play a part!

Help me Lord, lead them to you
Let you're light, in me be true
For I have felt, your healing hand
Touch my heart, in this land!

In this broken, wounded child
May your spirit, run quite wild
Yes, I have seen you, love so much
Sic em, Father, with THE TOUCH!

BEHOLD, MY NAME IS JESUS

Behold, my name is Jesus, I gave my life for you
I'm standing at your door, with words forever true
There is a place called Heaven, in which you can reside
A place of peace and mercy, and I'll be by your side!

Behold, my name is Jesus, to earth I shall return
And on that day, for all who mocked, the time shall come to burn
For all of those whom cheat and steal, my words they do ignore
Yes, they'll look up and plead with tears, "We want our lives no more!"

Behold, my name is Jesus, there's love here in my hand
There is a better life, to live within this land
Your sin is like a cancer, eating at your heart
And though you cannot see it, it rips your life apart!

Behold, my name is Jesus, and mercy fills my being
I know what brought you to your knees, I know what you are fleeing
I'm standing here with open arms, I'll heal your every wound
And when I return to this, my earth, you shall not be doomed!

Behold, my name is Jesus, walk with me awhile
And I will take your broken heart, and teach it how to smile
How much do we, in Heaven care, you called, the devil pouted
And up here where I now reside, a gazillion angels shouted!

A gazillion is too many to count! :o)

David Dancing

I WILL DANCE TODAY

They tell me David danced, though he was a king
They tell me David sang, as loud as he could sing
When Pharaoh's mighty army, perished in the sea
Miriam took a tambourine, and danced, my Lord, for thee!

And when the wayward son, lost within his sin
Came trudging wearily home, his father took him in
He slew the fattened calf, a feast that some would envy
Within the house there was much joy, they danced, not one, but many!

So when they tell me Jesus, I should be restrained
And I feel this awesome tugging, pulling on my brain
I'll warn them very quickly, you must clear the way
The Holy Ghost has hit me, and I will dance today!

Psalm 150:1-6
1 Praise the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. 2 Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. 3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, 4 praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, 5 praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. 6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD.
